Quality childcare is a real expense, and many Myrtle Beach families qualify for assistance without realizing it.
Creative Beginnings accepts the SC Working Families Child Care Scholarship, formerly known as the ABC Voucher. If you are not sure where to start, call us at 843-215-1234 and we will help.

SC Working Families Child Care Scholarship
Formerly known as the ABC Voucher
How To Qualify
- A parent or guardian is working, looking for work, or enrolled in school or a training program
- Gross family income is within the entrance limit in the table below (55% of the South Carolina state median income). Once enrolled, families stay eligible until income exceeds the exit limit (85%).
- The child is between birth and 12 years old, or up to 19 years old with qualifying special needs
- Care is provided by a provider participating in South Carolina's ABC Quality rating system
Income Guidelines
Effective October 1, 2026
A family must have income within the entrance range to enter the program. A family becomes ineligible when income exceeds the exit amount.

How To Qualify
- Active duty service members in any branch, including National Guard and Reserves when activated
- Department of Defense civilians and contractors assigned to qualifying installations
- Families who are unable to access on-base child care due to a waitlist or distance
