Overview

Learning That Looks Like Play

At Creative Beginnings, we use the Frog Street Curriculum across our classrooms. Our staff are trained in early childhood development and use evidence-based practices aligned with national standards, and small class sizes allow teachers to use individualized strategies based on each child's pace, with regular assessments guiding learning plans.

Our Curriculum

Frog Street, Age By Age

Infants and Waddlers

Six weeks to twelve months

Our youngest learners spend their days in sensory-based care built around the rhythms of each baby. Tummy time and guided movement build physical coordination and strength, while reading sessions, baby sign language, soft music, and storytime surround them with early language long before their first words. Because our class sizes stay small, teachers follow each infant's own pace and adjust the day as your baby grows.

Tiny Tots

Twelve to twenty-four months

Toddlers learn best when the day has shape but still leaves room to wander, so we pair guided learning and play with structured flexibility. Group-led activities bring children together for music, movement, and story, then self-guided exploration lets each child chase whatever has caught their attention. Teachers track individual progress along the way, so every step forward is noticed and built upon.

Preschool

Two to three years

In our preschool classrooms, story time, music, and teacher-led conversations do the heavy lifting for language, while guided play strengthens the large physical skills that two- and three-year-olds are eager to test. Visual and sensory play develops fine motor control, and learning stays rooted in play and structured activities that introduce early literacy and numeracy, from counting and letter recognition to simple problem-solving.

Pre-K

Four years

Our Pre-K year is focused on school readiness. Children work on early reading, writing, and basic math in a way that still feels like their kind of day, with plenty of creative exploration alongside the academics. Regular assessments guide each child's learning plan, so teachers can use individualized strategies and make sure your child steps into kindergarten confident and prepared.

Frog Street covers birth through age five, so our After School and Summer Camp programs run enrichment programming rather than Frog Street.
